In 2011 our organization has set goals of further refining our standards of care, taking delivery of a new ambulance, increasing our community involvement, and improving the quality of care provided to our citizens. To achieve these goals we have numerous projects ongoing. We will post our news as it is available. July 27, 2011 - Congradulations to Jason and Elena Boley on upgrading their certification to EMT-Intermediate. July 2, 2011 - AAEMC is proud to have been a part of the City of Angleton Freedom Festival by standing by in case of emergency with two mobile intensive care units available on scene. June 15, 2011 - Congratulations to Lloyd Ayers for being promoted to Shift Supervisor! June 3, 2011 - Congratulations to the class of 2011. AAEMC is proud to support AHS and to participate in project graduation. AAEMC presented a unique view on drinking and driving using the Fatal Vision Goggles. May 27, 2011 - Our new Ambulance has arrived!!! A special thanks to ESD #3 for purchasing this unit for our use. May 21, 2011 - Our annual food drive was a huge success! Thanks to all who made this possible. May 15, 2011 - AAEMC company picnic was a huge success. Thanks to all who made this possible. May 14, 2011 - EMS DAY FOR THE COMMUNITY! - AAEMC, Lifeflight, APD, AVFD and ADMC will be out at Freedom park offering blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks and general fun and information for the public. Please spread the word. We are also putting up flyers around town and trying to get it into the paper! Come have some fun with us! May 5. 2011 - AAEMC is the proud recipient of the Greater Angleton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Award. This award is an honor for both our service and the members of our organization.
April 27, 2011 - Congratulations to Roi-Anne Johnson on becoming an EMT-I. April 18, 2011 - For a second time AAEMC had been nominated for a Greater Angleton Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Leadership Award, by the Leadership 2011 class. The first time we were nominated, in 2007, we received an award for being a Finalist. April 2011 - Congratulations to Amy Manwarren on becoming an EMT-I. April 2011 - We welcome the following new probationary members to the AAEMC family: Elena Boley EMT-B, Jason Boley EMT-B, Rogelio Gamboa EMT-B, Scott Johnson EMT-B, Laci Lognion EMT-P, and Scott Stoicovy EMT-B. All of these new members are volunteers who are giving their time to server our community. February 2011 - A special thank you to Dow Chemical Company for their contribution of $500 each from their employees that volunteer with AAEMC, Scott Tyler and Kim Haraway. This program is their Dow Dollars for Doers. This money will be used for public education and injury prevention. December 20, 2010 - We are proud to welcome Travis Vandaveer to our family. Travis brings a new perspective and new blood to ensure that AAEMC is always moving forward. Travis is a family oriented individual with a strong background in pre-hospital medicine. December 1, 2010 - FT employee Micheal Mathis has left as FT member and is now moved to PT. We wish him the best of luck in his new endeavour. November 22, 2010 - A special thanks to the Angleton Rotary for contributing the other 50%, $7305, to assist us with matching the state grant for our second Autopulse Both of these contributions allowed AAEMC to fully fund this cutting edge equipment. November 15, 2010 - We welcome our two newest volunteers, Amy Manwarren, EMT-B, and Justin Davison EMT-B. This program is their Dow Dollars for Doers. July 2, 2010 - Our crew returned from south Texas after helping as needed. Thankfully Texas was spared the brunt of Hurricane Alex. July 1, 1010 - Angleton experienced heavy rains that flooded several areas of town and caused a few problems around town. AAEMC moved quickly and staged at key places to ensure continued EMS service to our residents. June 28, 2010 - AAEMC is responding to Tropical Storm Alex at the request of The State of Texas. We have sent a crew and ambulance to stage for the states response to any affected areas. We are continuing to monitor the storms predicted landfall for both our deployed crew and our community. June 23, 2010 - We just accepted delivery of our newest ambulance. A 2010 Ford E450 made by Osage Ambulance. This unit will replace one of our aging units and ensure the best working environment for our crew members and the safest and most reliable transport for our patients. We hope to have it inservice soon and will post pictures soon. June 18, 2010 - Join us in welcoming our three newest crew members. Courtney Blythe EMT-B, Anthony Bray EMT-B, and Roi-Anne Johnson EMT-B. June 16, 2010 - A long time volunteer, Myron Johnson, has retired from our service. His service and dedication to the citizens of the community will be missed. Myron served for seven years as a crew member and also served as a volunteer representative on our board of directors.
